CONTINUED GROWTH SEES MEP FIRM ADD TWO REGIONAL BASES

LEADING engineering consultancy Wallace Whittle – which has more than 140 staff across eight regional bases in the UK – is opening its doors in Manchester and Birmingham as part of a strategic expansion of its national presence.

The firm is targeting geographical growth as part of its ambitious plans to grow the business, with a focus on regional offices in England having long been established in Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

The new bases will help serve its growing portfolio of projects, which includes Kadans Life Sciences Manchester, The Store Hotel in Oxford, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and the Boddingtons Manchester residential development.

The Birmingham office will be led by newly appointed director Darren Wright, while the Manchester office is headed by Paul Dean, who has played a key role in the business’ expansion in recent years.

Allan McGill, managing director at Wallace Whittle, said: “The opening of new offices in Birmingham and Manchester underscores Wallace Whittle’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional quality to clients nationwide.

“These expansions signify a pivotal juncture for our company as we execute our growth strategies and extend our reach across the UK. Growth in England is pivotal to our next level aspirations for the company, and we are steadfast in our commitment to becoming a prominent player in the region.”

Heading up the Birmingham office, Wright brings more than 20 years’ experience across MEP contractor, local authority and design consultancy settings, and will leverage his knowledge of the region to spearhead the establishment and growth of the office.

He said: “It’s a privilege to be joining an established brand in Wallace Whittle at such an exciting time and playing a key role in the expansion and growth plans within Birmingham and the wider central UK region.

“Promoting the company’s proud history of delivering quality of product and service is fundamental to maintaining our local existing client base and shaping relationships with new clients alike.”

Operations in Manchester will be overseen by Paul Dean, who will remain as lead of the business’ Warrington office while also heading the new city centre space.

He said: “Having seen our success in the north-west grow during recent years thanks to our well deserved reputation for quality, innovation and delivery, opening an office in the centre of Manchester is a logical next step for our expansion as a business.

“With nearly 150 team members across Wallace Whittle, we’re perfectly placed to deliver quality on a wide range of project types, and this new office solidifies our recent growth.”
