Problem job sinks Mace construction profits

A problem job blew a hole in the books of Mace’s construction business with pre-tax profits slumping to £15.7m from £79.3m last time despite revenue topping £2bn from £1.73bn. Latest results for the year to December 31 2024 show that the smaller consulting operation is the main profit driver making £77.7m from £44.6m last time on increased turnover of £686.6m from £619.4m.

ABC: Nonresidential Construction Spending Dips 0.1% in April

National nonresidential construction spending decreased 0.1% in April, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors’ analysis of data published by the U.S. Census Bureau.
