Developer Citu picked for £300m Sheffield scheme

Plans for a city village in Sheffield are set to forge ahead after the city council signed a development deal with regeneration specialist Citu. The 23-acre urban regeneration scheme known as Attercliffe Waterside scheme will transform brownfield land either side of the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal. It will become one of the largest zero carbon communities in the UK, featuring more than 1,000 homes alongside creative workspaces, an arts venue and shops.

Cladding firm wins £1.7m payment battle with ISG

Cladding contractor FK Construction has won a high court ruling enforcing an adjudication requiring ISG pay it £1.69m. ISG challenged the adjudicator’s award relating to Project Barberry, a warehouse project at an industrial park in Avonmouth Docks. The payment dispute over the £3.4m cladding subcontract arose when FK issued a £1.69m application for payment which was greeted with a payless notice and then not paid.
