Prosper picks 34 firms for £1bn retrofit bonanza

Social housing procurement specialist Prosper has picked 34 firms for its next-generation £1bn nationwide energy efficiency retrofit framework. The four-year deal covers decarbonisation and investment works to domestic and public buildings across 10 English and Welsh regions, with up to 10 firms appointed per lot. Firms will deliver PAS 2035-compliant energy efficiency upgrades including heat pumps, insulation, solar PV, windows, boilers, kitchens, bathrooms, and wider refurbishment works.

£60m raised to advance world-first cement CCS project

Five cement and lime giants have raised £60m to advance plans to build the world’s first carbon capture scheme to decarbonise production in the UK.
