BSR backlog swells as new build approvals run to 36 weeks

The scale of delays plaguing the Building Safety Regulator’s gateway approval process has been laid bare in the first set of published official figures. The figures, covering activity from late 2023 to early 2025, show 2,108 total applications submitted, but just 338 have received approval.
