Costain wins vast underground hydrogen storage design job

Storengy UK has picked the infrastructure specialist to deliver front-end engineering and design work on its Keuper Gas Storage Project near Northwich. Designs are due to complete in 2026 ahead of a final investment decision on the underground storage scheme. Costain will split the work into two FEED packages.

Mark Wild radical reset plan to rescue HS2

Performance-related pay rises for senior managers and excutive bonuses relating to last year have been scrapped. Wild said the new baseline cost and schedule would be finalised by April 2026, with initial technical advice on sequencing due this summer. HS2 has already reduced the number of non-permanent labour contractors.
